Knife MORAKNIV Basic 511
Availability: In stock
High quality Swedish knife MORA with a blade of polished carbon steel, very suitable as "my first knife" for starting campers and often also for those experienced who lose their knives. It is excellent for learning wood cutting, knife grinding and versatile work. The original version of MORA 511 became famous for the legendary Canadian survivor Mors Kochanski. MORA Q 511 is known worldwide among campers for its unbeatable price / performance ratio. MORAKNIV BASIC 511 is the latest innovation of this knife. The steel has a hardness of 59-60 according to the Rockwell hardness scale and the blade back can be used to draw sparks with a new firesteel or stone (quartz, flint). Each carbon steel is susceptible to moisture, so it is recommended that the blade be wiped with edible oil before storage. Signs of rust may appear on the blade upon delivery, which we recommend to polish and wipe with an oiled cloth.
The knife handle is made of ergonomically shaped plastic and a guard that protects against slipping of the hand. People have made various modifications for this type - eg. cutting off the guard.
The case is made of plastic, it is not necessary to switch it on or on in the case and it can be pulled or retracted in one movement. The sheath has a belt loop, can also be hung on the neck strap or nail in the workshop.
